Summer Camps -

STEM Camp and Computer Science Coding Camp

We have received grant funding from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation that will make a summer STEM Camp for 20 students who are currently enrolled in kindergarten through eighth grade in the Norton City Schools. Camp will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon daily at Wadsworth High School. Dates for camp will be July 25-29.

Thanks to funding from the Four Cities Compact, we will also be able to hold Computer Science/Coding Camp this year. There are spaces for 20 Norton City Schools students enrolled in kindergarten through eleventh grade to attend. Camp will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon daily at Wadsworth High School. Dates for camp will be July 18-22.

In order to give more students the opportunity to attend a camp, students will be limited to attend only one camp.

In order to offset costs, there is a $25 fee per camper to attend either camp. Camp fees can be paid in cash or by check (made out to Wadsworth City Schools) and can be sent to school with your student in an envelope clearly labeled “STEM Camp” or “Coding Camp” and your child’s name. After school is out, camp payment will be accepted at the Norton City Schools Administration Building. You must register online prior to making your payment.

Full registration is not complete until the camp fee has been paid.

LivThruArt

Saturday, April 16th, the Norton High School Art Club hosted a group called "Liv Thru Art" to join us in making pieces of art for an upcoming show. This group was formed to honor the memory of Olivia Ward, a young girl from Wadsworth who lost her battle with childhood cancer in 2010 at the age of 13. Olivia was an exceptional artist with a creative soul and always wanted to grow up to be an art teacher. In remembrance of her, this group brings children of all ages that are currently fighting or have beaten childhood cancer together to make art. The artwork created will be put on display at the Akron Art Museum on Saturday, May 21st from 12 pm - 4 pm for the 2nd Liv Thru Art Exhibition.

We are Panther Nation! Welcome to our website!
