Public Notice to Bidders

A pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM on January 27, 2015 at the High School Media Center. Contractors will have a chance to examine the site after the meeting.  Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, Bid Forms, Etc. for the above mentioned project may be examined at the offices of MKC Associates Inc., 40 West Fourth Street, Mansfield, Ohio, the F.W. Dodge Corporation, The Builders Exchange and iSqFt.. Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from SE Blueprint, 540 S.Main St. Suite #211., Akron, OH 330-376-1689, www.plancycle.com. All proposals shall be made in conformity with the Revised Code of Ohio on blank forms furnished by the Architect. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond of not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the amount of the bid including all add alternates. Bids may also be accompanied by a bid guarantee as provided in the Ohio Revised Code 153.54.

Sealed envelopes containing bids must be addressed to the Board of Education, Norton City School District, 4128 South Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Norton, Ohio 44203, and clearly marked on the outside:

“New Athletic Complex (Re-Bid)”
Immediately after the bid closing deadline previously noted, all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. This Project is exempt from the Prevailing Wages requirements. No Bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of opening the bids.

Bidders may purchase copies of Bidding Documents or request the list of Bidders directly from SE Blueprint. This payment is non-refundable and shipping and handling charges for each set shall also be paid by the Bidder.
Bids will be taken for the following work:
Contract No. 1: General Contract
Contract No. 2: Bleachers
Contract No. 3: Site Lighting

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding as may, in the Board’s judgement, serve the best interest of the School District.
