2017-18 District Report Card

The Department of Education released state report cards on Thursday, and Norton City Schools received an overall grade of B.  That overall grade was in the Top 36% of schools in the state of Ohio.  In addition, Norton City Schools met the Gifted Indicator, and we are one (1) of thirty eight (38) districts in the state to achieve that.  The report discusses our accomplishments and our areas needed for improvement, presents a comparison to the 2017 report card, and details how our district compared to the other 607 districts in the state.  Click here for additional Report Card information.

Feed My Starving Children Event

Norton City Schools will be supporting the school-community initiative of providing 1,000,000 meals over a 3 year period. Last year, we  supported Norton United (a joint effort between local churches, Norton City Schools, and the City of Norton) campaign of providing meals here (through over 100 blessings in a backpack each Friday), there (supporting local food drives), and everywhere (participating the FMSC event). Again this year, we are proud to support this community initiative! This is a great serving opportunity for kids in grades kindergarten and older to be part of a large community effort to provide meals around the world!

This year, the Norton United Mobile Packing Event will take place on Saturday, September 29th from 9:00 am - 9:00 pm at Norton Middle School.  Click here to register!

July 2018 Notes to Families

The 2018-2019 Theme: Protect the Pride - Click HERE to read the entire article

Norton City Schools, through our District Planning Committee, is proud to announce that Protect the Pride is the theme for the 2018-2019 school year. Coming off a year, nationally and locally, where students and school communities took care of each other perhaps more than ever before, we believe these words work in protecting the good people of Norton City Schools and the Norton community. Our vision includes our students looking out for one another in the classroom, during activities, and during time away from school. Our vision includes our community members representing Norton City Schools with great pride and respect for the process of school and also supporting the students that they watch perform in so many different venues. Finally, our vision includes the school district connecting more than ever before with our students and our community and demonstrating strong support for both. Protect the Pride has everything to do with taking care of one another and being prideful in what we have in this community. You will see and hear the theme throughout the district, and I wanted to introduce it to you here.
