As we approach the end of the academic year, the staff at NES has been working diligently to create a quick and efficient way for families to acquire student belongings from desks/lockers and for the school to collect district/teacher owned materials (books, Chromebooks, etc.). Please take note of the following details.
Teachers are currently working to put together a red bag for each student. These bags will contain student belongings from desks and lockers as well as some projects/assignments left in the classroom. The bag will also contain the student’s final report card for the year and any inhalers/epi-pens stored in the clinic. All other medications can be signed out during the pick-up times listed in the next bullet point.
These bags are being arranged alphabetically (by the student’s last name) in the gymnasium or cafeteria. They will be available for pick up on Tuesday, May 26-Friday, May 29 from 2-6pm, using the schedule below.
Tuesday, May 26 - Students whose last names begin with A-E
Wednesday, May 27 - Students whose last names begin with F-L
Thursday, May 28 - Students whose last names begin with M-R
Friday, May 29 - Students whose last names begin with S-Z
When families come to pick up student bags, they will also have the opportunity to return teacher or district owned items (books, textbooks, Chromebooks, etc.). Additionally, the school will collect any library books the students might have from the Book Mobile. If you are returning a Chromebook, please make sure you bring the charger. You'll also want to make sure you drop off the Chromebook at the building of your youngest child.
