January Coding Club - 8th grade opportunity.

Norton Middle School will again be offering a Coding Club that will start Saturdays, beginning January 25, 2020.  The camp will run for 10 consecutive Saturdays and those interested are expected to attend each session.  Registration information can be found in the Middle School main office and cafeteria.    The topics will include:

1. Computational thinking

2. Abstraction

3. Binary Number System

4. Programming languages (Lightbot, Scratch, Python, and Rasperrian)

5. Iterative process of programming (create, improve, recreate)

6. Basic electric circuits (anode, cathode, voltage, amperage, resistance)

7. Raspberry Pi computer operation

8. Creating and controlling interfaces with Raspberry Pi, bread boards, and circuitry

9. Completing a working Raspberry Pi project

10. Soft skills of communication and teamwork
