Blizzard Bags

On March 24, the Norton Board of Education approved a resolution to utilize “Blizzard Bags” in order to make up the three additional calamity days used this past winter. All assignments will be available on the district’s “Blizzard Bag” website. Click here to access the "Blizzard Bag" website.

Students will need to access the “Blizzard Bag” website to download and complete the assignments prepared by his/her teachers. These assignments will be due two weeks after the posting date. Per our Blizzard Bag plan and the Ohio Revised Code, if a student fails to complete any Blizzard Bag assignments, the student will be counted absent (unexcused) for the make-up day. Additionally, students will receive failing grades for assignments not completed.

Depending on the teacher, subject, or grade level, assignments may need to be completed online or may require students to download and print a copy of the assignment. Each Blizzard Bag will have a set of directions explaining how an assignment should be completed. Students without computer access may request hard copy materials from his/her teacher(s), if necessary.
